About Gallagher Green

Gallagher is a novelist and artist of many mediums. They believe that all art has great power for change, and that artists have a duty to use those skills to fight for a better world. This belief is firmly set in their writing as well.

Their debut novel, Love, Sorrow, and the In-Between: A Novel for the Rest of Us was an unexpected story of platonic soul mates. This novel set a standard for them, leaving them with the desire to tell the stories of the underrepresented and a passion for telling stories in which some will see themselves in, and others will find perspective in.

Having been born and raised in the countryside of so-called Kansas, USA, on the rightful land of the Kiowa peoples, Gallagher was encouraged to build, learn, play in nature, and to ask questions. It was only when they started asking themselves questions that seemingly had no answer that they started writing the answers in the form of stories. This has led to six published novels, and many others in the works.

As Gallagher continues to write, they are also expanding into many other avenues along the creative process, including guiding other authors in their journey of writing through workshops, and one-on-one coaching, while honing in on the stories that they feel are the most important to tell.

Every year seems to bring new and exciting things to Gallagher’s life as an author, the next year will be no exception as they push themselves to learn more, and create even more meaningful stories that they hope will live on long after they are gone.

About Golden Art Publishing

Golden Art is an independent publisher who started with the primary focus of publishing queer representation, but has recently expanded, focusing more on the power of the story being told.

Founded in rural, so-called Kansas, USA on the rightful land of the Kiowa peoples, it has been built on the foundation of representation and the importance of characters and stories that don’t only entertain, but feel like a life you know in yourself or others.

Golden Art Publishing is continuing to evolve into a publisher of the highest moral standard, focusing on human stories instead of market trends and profit strategies. Publishing stories that will be remembered as time wears on, enjoyed for decades to come.

What our mission is as part of the publishing and writing world.

Golden Art Publishing came into existence to allow the telling of stories that deserve to be told with the authentic message within them. In a time where freedom of speech and expression is being threatened, we felt it was important to allow the publishing and distribution of stories that haven’t been defanged under the guise of marketability.

This is why we value representation above all else, because until everyone has a voice, no one truly does. With the release of our first novel Love, Sorrow, and the In-Between: A Novel for the Rest of US, we saw and overwhelming response from people of all demographics saying that they had never viewed love the way it was represented in the novel, and that it had changed their view on what a relationship could be. For us, that was proof of concept of how powerful fiction is.

Storytelling is the greatest weapon the people of the world have against fascism, hate, and oppression. Throughout history, from ancient empires to the Nazis and Zionist they have always tried to destroy the written knowledge of stories first, just as the colonialists attempted to stop orally told stories of the people of Turtle Island. But they have always failed and always will. Storytelling has existed since before written language, and it will exist after.

Novels have a unique ability, like few other things in the world. They inspire and impact people across time and social classes. Other art forms also continue to inspire through time, but they are not as accessible as novels. Sculpture, painting, and photos are limited in their storytelling capability and are most impactful when viewing the original piece in person. Films require devices to view them, which not everyone has access to, and may not always exist.

Unlike other art forms, novels don't have the singular existence of an original form and do not require a device. A novel can be reprinted time and time again, losing none of its impact. When people talk about a novel that inspired their life, it often isn’t a first addition, but a beat up, torn, stained old paperback with no monetary value whatsoever. This is the legacy Golden Art wants to leave this world, not one of our names or images, but a legacy left in stories.

This is why Golden Art is also working toward offering more help and services to other authors, to help more people tell the stories they feel are important. There will never be a time that we do not support any author working towards the betterment of the world through storytelling.
